Members of the club run the Sculling School at the National Water Sports Centre (NWSC), Holme Pierrepont, just outside Nottingham, about 2 miles from the Boat Club. Participants are instructed in sculling technique in stable sculling boats initially, and fine boats (including double or quadruple sculls, as well as singles) when they have mastered the basic technique. Those who show an interest in competitive sculling or rowing are encouraged to join a local club. The sculling school is run on Tuesday evenings from 6pm during the summer.
Please Note that the Sculling School is now closed until Spring 2001. Why not come along to the Boat Club instead?
The Sculling School is popular and it may be necessary to book. For more information please contact the NWSC on (0115) 9821212, or visit the Sculling School web page at the National Water Sports Centre.
